Kendyll Hazzard

Kendyll is a contemporary dance artist, educator, and choreographer currently training in the pedagogy program at the Martha Graham School. A recent graduate of the CLI Conservatory, she has trained in diverse styles with artists including Teddy Forance, Billy Griffin, and Chaz Buzan, shaping her versatility and artistic voice.

She developed her foundation as an apprentice with Kanopy Dance Company, focusing on Graham technique alongside studies in Hawkins, Humphrey, Dunham, Cunningham, and ballet, and performed works by Pascal Rioult, Lloyd Knight, and Colin Connor.

Kendyll is also an active educator, having taught at studios as well as guest classes for Bucknell University and the CLI Conservatory. Her choreographic work spans film and stage, with projects presented through Danceworks Chicago’s Dance Chance and commissions for Isthmus Dance Collective, u.DL, and Kanopy’s K2.

She is excited to join Breath Dance Project this season and has loved meeting this vibrant and passionate community of dancers.
